As a christian we love our holy book Bible. While studying the bible we get too much satisfaction as its single verse has a lot of healing capacity. Have we ever thought about who wrote this holy Bible? I think that is a common and general question of every christian. As a christian I will think that the Bible is the Book of God, it contains the words of God so it must be written by God. Am I right? This single sentence “ God writes the Bible” is not a precise answer. You know why? Let me explain:
As according to our belief in God and in the Bible we will think that the Bible is a book of God’s commands. If the Bible is telling us what we are doing, what we have to do, which things God likes or dislikes, So of course God writes the Bible. Here is twist guys;
Let’s take it very seriously that God wrote the book, then the question is whether God himself wrote the bible or not?
So, this question also has a double answer. God himself wrote the book but probably most chances other people also wrote the book. I know I’m explaining a little bit confusingly but wait I’ll tell you more deeply and precisely. Just remain attach with us 🙂
Bible Verses:
Hebrews 1:1-2
In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe.
Exodus 31:18
When the Lord finished speaking to Moses on Mount Sinai, he gave him the two tablets of the covenant law, the tablets of stone inscribed by the finger of God.
Revelation 1:1
The revelation from Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John,
Bible’s writers are God And Human
So, the point is who wrote the bible humans or God. We all know the Bible is a book of commands and advice thus we can conclude it is written by God. Now we also know that the Bible consists of songs, teachings of Jesus and God’s praises then the answer of that question can be it is written by humans.
A complete answer should be that the Bible is the book of God and his commands thus he is the main writer but he took help from humans. As he sends many prophets in this world and through these prophets he conveys his messages to people.

I’m going to address one more interesting thing: the Bible is not a book which is written by God through prophets but also a book which is written on Jesus’ teachings and life.
God’s message is of two types, one is written in the bible through prophets and other is a live message of God in the form of Jesus. On this basis Bible is divided into two parts:
These are;
- Old-Testament
- New-Testament
So basically the Old-testament is a combination of all the messages of God through his prophets. Many prophets like Moses, David, Solomon, Samuel and many more contribute in writing the Bible according to God’s commands. The Bible also covers the praises and songs of these writers.
On the other hand, the New-Testament covers all the messages which Jesus teaches to the people. These writers are the apostles and disciples of Jesus.
2 Timothy 3:16
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,
Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
God as a Bible’s Writer
Basically God is the one who wrote the book but in different ways. Some parts of the bible are direct messages of God towards his prophets. I:e He sent 10 tablets of commandments to Moses and he wrote them in the Bible. Some are messages that He told His servants secretly through dreams and revelation and they write it up in the Bible. The third way was Jesus. Jesus was a living message of God. He expresses God’s commands by his personality and act.
2 Peter 1:20-21
“Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation of things. For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.”
1 Timothy 3:16
“Beyond all question, the mystery from which true godliness springs is great: He appeared in the flesh, was vindicated by the Spirit, was seen by angels, was preached among the nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory. “
Human as a Bible’s Writer
As we already know, the bible Is the word of God. Logically God is the author of the bible, the words of bible are the words of God. But prophets and other people are the writers of the bible as they write according to God’s orders and will. On the other hand some parts of the bible are originally human written. Let me explain
As we know some parts of the bible include songs, praises and wisdom words, these are written by humans. Including them are David, Solomon, Moses and so on.
Exodus 24:4
Moses then wrote down everything the Lord had said.
He got up early the next morning and built an altar at the foot of the mountain and set up twelve stone pillars representing the twelve tribes of Israel.
Jeremiah 30:2
“This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: ‘Write in a book all the words I have spoken to you.
Luke 1:1-3
Many have undertaken to draw up an account of the things that have been fulfilled among us, just as they were handed down to us by those who from the first were eyewitnesses and servants of the word. With this in mind, since I myself have carefully investigated everything from the beginning, I too decided to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus,
