What is the Word of God?
Have you ever wondered what is truly the Word of God? So basically the word of God is the commandments, teachings and will of God.
From these words “word of God” we can easily interpret that the word which is of God or comes from Him is truly the word of God. Let’s understand it by an example.
When we read the Bible we are reading the written words and these are not directly written by God with hands but are commandments which he provides us through his prophets. Similarly Jesus was sent by God. He teaches us what God told Jesus to say. The voice and words were of Jesus but the commandments and will was of God.
Bible Verses:
(John 1:1-2)
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning.
(Acts 11:1)
The apostles and the believers throughout Judea heard that the Gentiles also had received the word of God.
(1 Thessalonians 2:13)
And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as a human word, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is indeed at work in you who believe.
Purpose of Word of God
The Bible and Jesus were both words of God but the first one was in written form while the other was in human form. Now there arises a question of why God sent Jesus or the Bible on the earth. So basically the original purpose of the Bible and Jesus or any other prophets was to convey the messages, commandments and teachings of God to mankind for their welfare.

Do you know why God wanted to convey his will or teachings?
Just understand it by an example. Let’s think that if we create something then we will want this thing to act according to our wish. Just think about your life. Do you like to enjoy your life according to your way?
If yes then you will come to know why God sent his words on earth. Collectively He sent Jesus, bible and other prophets just to teach his commandments so that people can understand God’s will and live their life according to Him. As He is our God and we are bound to do what he wants or command.
He not only imposed his will on us by saying that you are my servant and you have to do what I said but he also arranged a big reward for us. He politely told us that he created this world just to test us and if we do what he wants then he will provide us with eternal, beautiful and peaceful life.
Bible as a Word of God
Firstly, we’ll discuss how the Bible can be God’s word. Is He wrote it by himself or using something else? And why did he need to write the Bible to convey his commandments?
The big question is why God needed to write the Bible, he wrote it himself or by other means.
Basically God didn’t write it by himself but he sent many prophets and sent his orders from heaven. Hus prophets and disciples of prophets wrote and collected these teachings in the form of bible.
And this book became a way of guidance for people. The other question which is very important is why he needed to write a book while he was already sent prophets. And why prophets wrote books.
The purpose for writing books was that people always get guidance even after the passing away of Prophets. Think by yourself that a person comes on earth, provides God’s teachings and dies after some years. After his death how his teachings will be received by people who were born later.
Because if the prophet is present he will teach people but after him how words of God can taught to people. Obviously nobody can convey these teachings. So God instructed prophets to write a book.
Some words are revealed by God in the form of tablets on Prophet Moses. Moses wrote them as it is in the bible. But the other words are of prophets but the instruction and teachings were of God.

Jesus Representation as a Word of God
As God needed to write a book similarly he thought to send Jesus on earth. The purpose of Jesus coming was to give evidence to people that they can see by their eyes. Jesus comes to earth, shows miracles and follows God’s orders to show people the truth.
Think by yourself that the book is present but the writer or the person on which the book is written is not present. Then how will we believe in the book’s truthfulness? Thus it was important not to only write a book but also to send Jesus.
The only difference between Jesus and the Bible is that He was the word of God but in human form while the bible was in a book meaning written form. The Bible consists of written commandments of God.
(John 1:1-14)
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
There was a man sent from God whose name was John. He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all might believe. He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light.
The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.
The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
Worth of Word of God
The Word of God is of great importance whether it is in Jesus or in Bible form. Because when studying about Jesus’ life we come to know God’s order and can live according to his commandments.
We also get to know about God’s will and commands by reading the bible and can turn our life towards a true path. If God’s word is not present then we will remain distracted from the right path full of sinful life. The only way for our guidance, right path and source of our best worldly and hereafter life is the word of God. It has a lot of power that can protect us from evils, ghosts and disasters.

Proofs of The Bible And Jesus Authenticity
We already have read that God prefers to write the bible along with Jesus on the basis of wisdom. And the wisdom was that if people know about Jesus then they can easily reach the bible and can learn many more.
On the other hand if the bible is accessible to them but are unaware of Jesus then after reading the bible they can know about Jesus. Both Jesus and the Bible have a correlation by which a person can attain a right path and can live a life according to God’s will.
Final Decision Making on Jesus And Bible
If we have to make a decision between Jesus and the Bible on the basis of which one is truly the word of God then I’ll vote for Jeses. Why Jesus not Bible? Because Jesus whole life, teachings and orders are written in the Bible. If Jesus was not present then how could his disciples can write a book?
Basically Jesus was from God but the book had not come from God directly but prophets and disciples wrote them. So it became obvious that Jesus is mainly the word of God. But no doubt the Bible is also a word of God but in a written way.
Difference Between Jesus and Bible
As i already make it clear that both are a form of God’s message but the difference is obvious. And God did this with a wisdom. Do you know about your forefathers? I am sure you were know you father, grand father and may grand grand father but what about those who came before them? Do you know about them, their lives and challenges?
If our answer is no then the puzzle is solved. As we can’t know about the people who were on the earth before us then how can we come to know about Jesus, his life and teachings? The only way to protect the freshnes of a specific era is to write them down.

If we read the bible we can know about the whole life, events, hardships and teachings of Jesus. Thus we can say that Jesus was mainly God’s word but the Bible was a way to remain him alive in our life till the end of this universe. By the way Jesus will come near the last days!
Importance And Role of Bible
The Bible has a great importance and role in our life. Because we are not seen Jesus and experience his life but after reading bible we can know about Him and can do what he said us to do.
By reading it we can live a great life and mold our ways according to God’s will. The only way to get succeeded in this and hereafter life is by reading and understanding God’s orders and teachings.
Bible as a Sword of Spirit
Did you know the Bible is also known as a Sword of Spirit. A sword which is responsible to save us spiritually. For our physical safety we can use any devices like, sword, knife or gun but how can we save us spiritually? It’s obvious that we use the sword of spirit for our spiritual safety.
You may be thinking about what this sword will protect us. So, it will protect us from the attack of Satan. As we all are aware that Satan is our enemy he always try to seduce us as he did with Adam and Eve. But if we have the powder of the sword of spirit then we can easily fight with him.

(Acts 16:6)

(John 14:9)
Jesus answered: “Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?

Conclusion
How Could Jesus and the Bible Both be the Word of God? The answer of this question is clear that both are God’s word but with a little difference. But if to select between them as an option then Jesus is the right answer. But the presence of both is the wisdom and will of God. Believing in both of them is part of our faith and their teachings play an important role in our worldly and hereafter life.
