Cain and Abel who were sons of Adam and Eve in the Bible. When Adam and Eve did a sin and God punished them by sending them on earth then during that time of hardships God gave them a pair of sons.

The names of these sons were Abel and Cain. Their life story is written in the book of Genesis which covers the topic of creation.

When these two sons got young they started to do some work. Cain became a farmer who used to grow crops on land while Abel chose to become shepherd.

Conflict Between Cain And Abel

God told them to sacrifice. Sacrificing a precious thing is really liked by God. To please God they do sacrifice according to their will but instead of Cain God like Abel’s sacrifice.

Why God did this, there is a reason. As God prefers quality and sincere heart over quantity of things. Maybe Cain did sacrifice much in quantity but Abel did according to the best quality with humbleness and sincerely.

According to the Bible, Cain did sacrifice some crops while Abel chose a very healthy and beautiful animal to sacrifice. Between them God gave preference to Abel’s sacrifice because God knows the intentions.

When Cain comes to know he became very angry and got jealous of his brother Abel. He wanted that God should give preference to Him and should accept his sacrifice over Abel.

Choosing Abel’s sacrifice over Cain develops a conflict between them and He became very jealous of his brother.

Cain as a World First Murderer

Do you guys know who the first murderer was? Not surprisingly he was Cain and he did this in jealousy. His big attempt shows us that jealousy is very dangerous thus God warned us to never develop jealousy of anybody.

So, the story is that Cain wanted to take Abel’s position and can’t see him as superior to him that’s why he decided to kill him. Abel was innocent so he can’t figure out the satanic mind of Cain.

Cain brought him up with himself to the land and when he found a clue he killed him. That day a history made of the first murderer. After killing, He dug soil and buried him.

Fate of Cain

He wanders for his whole life in the land of Nod. He told God he didn’t do a big sin on which basis he is punished a lot. God tells him that he deserves more severe punishment according to his sin but God showed mercy on him.

God said that He can give him the punishment of death because he killed a person but he showed mercy and gave him a little punishment. So, he lived his whole life in Nod, married here and also had children.

Difference Between Cain And Abel

The Story of Cain and Abel tells us that the sons of the same parents have opposite characteristics as Cain was jealous, not sincere, murderer, liar and greedy as he killed his brother in jealousy and lied to God.

On the other hand Abel was sincere, innocent and truthful. He did sacrifice with sincerity and was killed to show his innocence.

Lesson From Cain And Abel’s Story

From Cain and Abel’s Story firstly, we get the lesson that in the way of God we should do things very sincerely because God loves the sacrifices which are done with sincerity and loyalty.

Secondly, God knows everything and before we do anything we should remember that God is seeing everything.

Thirdly, we should never get jealous of anybody because in jealousy we can do anything wrong as Cain did. He killed his own brother in jealousy. Jealousy is the root of many sins.

Fourthly, we should never lie. God doesn’t like those who did something wrong and despite admitting it they lied.

Fifthly, God is merciful besides he is just and punisher. As, he punished Cain but also did mercy on him.

Conclusion

Cain and Abel were sons of the first humans on earth named Adam and Eve. Both of them have different natures. God chose Abel’s sacrifice instead of Cain. Due to which Cain got jealous and killed Abel.

God was aware of it. So, he punished Cain due to his sins. Due to his one sin he has to live a full life full of curse. Their story has a big lesson for us. Thus we should always avoid jealousy and never attempt to murder someone because it is a great sin.
